Epperson veterinarian service has been with me since he was a puppy he was rejected by the litter so he was 8 oz they have made sure he's had all his shots they have stood right there with me through my emotional stuff and they care truly care,, I recommend them 100%, they did a surgery on my baby and he looks perfect this is my boo boo

I left a horrible situation of 30 years with the same vet. They were dirty and stinky. I walked in Epperson's the place is spotless (always) and they have given me great peace of mind that my baby is very well taken care of.

The front desk staff was always very friendly, especially Tammy, but I was disappointed in the attitude and demeanor of Dr. Switzer. On several different occasions she has had a condescending tone with me during an exam. She tried to warn me that getting heartworm medication from Chewy could be fake, even if it appears real. She simply wants me to use her pharmacy which was higher in cost for medication.
They also make you pre-pay for a fecal sample even if you don’t bring one in. Their prices have risen the past few years.
But the ultimate reason I decided to forgo using this vet anymore was the way she has treated me with acting like I should be doing an unnecessary surgery for my dog who is older. I pay for my dog the basic care, immunizations, teeth cleanings, etc. but I will not put him through unnecessary surgery or be able to spend hundreds a month on medication and she simply cannot be understanding of that. Probably because she has no kids and only pets!

My family had taken their dogs here for years while the former vet (an older gentleman) was operating the business. All was well before and pricing was reasonable.
However, a few years ago two very negative instances occurred, one with our dog and one with my cat. For my cat, we called on a Saturday to ask if they had any availability, and were given the green light to come on in. This sounds wonderful, however things quickly took a turn for the worst. My cat was very fearful and when they took her to the back for a blood draw, an injury occurred to one of the staff members. Afterwards, the Dr told me that they were going to call animal control and have my cat confiscated. As an 18 year old, I was very worried and appalled that they would threaten to call after I brought her in out of caution. Granted, my cat could have been better behaved, but I would have agreed to sedation if necessary, also she was vaccinated. $600+ later and worrying about animal control taking my cat does should not be the outcome for anybody. If I knew they would have charged as much as the Emergency clinic, I would have taken my cat there instead with more specialized staff.
The next negative experience with our dog was so ridiculous, it’s actually comical. Conversing about cleaning the dog’s ears, which he despises and is 180 lbs, my mother explained that she likes to “sit” on his back to contain him and clean his ears. What she should have said was “hover” or “squat” but Dr Swizer I believe it was became very judgmental and said something along the lines of “I can’t believe you sit on your dog” and when my sister tried to explain what our mother meant, she just walked out of the room. Again, it’s almost comical because of how the situation escalated from an offhand comment.
I’m sure there are better vets employed here by now, and hope that nobody has similar experiences here again.

Made Kayla suffer when she told to stick a needle in her side and give her water or she would die. Did it for a month and quit doing it.  Guess what she lived for 2 more years   She was 17 1/2 when I had her put to sleep
